Dr. Elder, our Clinic Founder/Director, has been in private practice since 1991, after graduating from Mizzou with a BA in Biology, emphasis in Chemistry and his Doctorate from Logan University. He continues to pursue a deeper understanding of spinal biomechanics. Dr. Elder has always considered it his ‘joyful obligation’ to continue to pursue knowledge that can be utilized to help his patients from suffering or even just to optimize health and/or athletic performance. Whether that comes from the most advanced chiropractic care, functional medicine and nutritional therapy. Also, by utilizing some of the many unique therapies he has available such as Pulsed Electromagnetic Therapy (PEMF), K Laser, Spinal Disc Decompression therapy, etc.
Dr. Elder has been pursuing the keys to optimal assessment and treatment of spinal conditions since he started private practice. Although he was acquiring good outcomes with his care he delivered, he saw the lack of quantifiable data in chiropractic, having been involved in research at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Barnes Hospital, and began searching for the best, most scientific way to assess a patient's spine and then to treat
it and track progress. He received his certification in Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP), which uses linear algebra, physics and engineering to assess a patient's spine and posture as compared to published norms.

Jamal has been with the Metro Chiropractic family since 2015. Jamal's specialty skillset would definitely be his Manual Manipulation Pain Management Therapy, which consists of a combination of Trigger Point Therapy, Clinical/Medical Massage, and Active Release Therapy. While the rest of the team works on your skeletal system, Jamal makes sure your muscles are working correctly as well.
